Lake / River / Wine District

The Sunnyslope Wine Trail is where the West and wine country collide. Located just 30 minutes from Boise, the Sunnyslope Wine Trail is part of the Snake River American Viticultural Area (AVA) and boasts 17 wineries and vineyards – and counting. This scenic area lies between Lake Lowell and the Snake River.

The Snake River wine region is on the same latitude as the Rioja region in Spain and Rhone Valley in France. Long hot days and cool summer nights, four beautiful seasons, layers of ancient volcanic soil, and an abundant water supply from the mighty Snake River all lay a unique foundation for this award-winning wine region.

Mixed in with the wineries and vineyards are gorgeous homes on acreage. Many with lake or river access and views. Fruit farms, small farms, and horse properties are scattered throughout the gentle rolling hills. This area is country living at it’s best. With easy access to all the everyday amenities in the nearby cites of Nampa, Caldwell and Boise, if you are looking for gorgeous scenery and acreage, do check out the Sunnyslope wine area, and the small town of Marsing. You will thank me!
